May 14, 2012 - I agree that the manga is slightly better. I was lucky enough to check the box set out of my local library over the summer before watching the anime, and the manga's jokes packed a little more punch. Also, Chiyo's "dad", aka that weird-ass cat thing, was way more, uh, weird.
