He is Eurekas Child atleast in the manga he calls her Mom when he was little... well yunger than he is now atleast, Altho u dont see her eyes, U can see it on her cloth style and her hair and the way she has her hair set.

Since he looks like Renton but with Eurekas eye color and clothes and if im not mistaken he is even shown on some pictures with light blue hair/greenish hair like Eureka has. So i think that he might be a relative from those 2 cause it is set a bit in the future if i remember correctly

Mar 31, 2012 - Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean, is not airing here in America until someones sponsors it, which might take a while, and more than likely it will be Adult Swim that sponsors it. Just a heads up. I believe its only going to be airing in Japan for a while. Its kind of a disappointing though, because its not based on Eureka and Renton entirely, it takes on a whole new set of characters, still including the Nirvash, and Eureka's name is mentioned When Ao Fukai enters into the Nirvash
