May 3, 2012 - Agree with all those who say the CGI hurt this great animie. CGI doesn't "have" to be so incongruent with all the other animation in the movie. We've all seen lower frame rates with oil painted textures and how great it blends in with the more traditional animation. It's fine to use high frame rate 3d stuff for an intro credit sequence but becomes jarring and out of place when mixed in with the rest of the movie like that.

Apr 4, 2012 - I agree. I have both the original version and the remaster 2.0 version. I can honestly say that the only differences are that they have replaced much of the original CGI footage with new CGI footage, and has replaced the original Japanese VA for the Puppet Master, with the VA of the female Prime Minister of the Stand Alone Complex series. If you haven't seen the original version then it wouldn't add anything to your viewing experience. But for those who have seen it, it kinda ruined it.

Feb 4, 2012 - first the time when each was made second one was meant for TV and the other for the silver screen they both had roughly the same budget but it kinda had to be spread out for a longer time because television takes longer to do than films mostly due to the fact that it is roughly 10 hours longer. and it got 2 seasons and 3rd film that took place after season 2

Jan 27, 2012 - I watched the intro sequence, and intro credits and I've never Nerd raged so much. The CGI added nothing to it, and it was just tacky. I would rather have the worser pictured original, than all that CGI crap in my Ghost in the shell.
