Apr 1, 2012 - It's quiet obvious that Archer either comes from the not produced Ilya route or some other.The other 3 routes are place in orderder. Fate has the most, UBW something in the mid and HF has no chance in hell to give birth to Archer.And now that i am at it what if Shirou becomes Archer in Fate but he has alredy met Archer, wouldn't that result in 2 different Archers? And also isn't it funny how Shirou has to become an Anti-Hero so that he doesn't become one?

Obviously the actual Archer from the series will merely vanish after the war, which is why Heroic Spirits have no concrete memories after death and any pseudo memories are just records kept in the Throne of Heroes.

Jul 6, 2011 - This pretty much. It actually creates the plothole of what exactly happens if an Emiya Shirou who met his own Future self also becomes a Heroic Spirit. Does it merge with the first one? Does it create an alternate EMIYA? Parallel time-lines can be quite confusing, especially since the very existence of Archer in Shirou's time already makes it a different timeline.

Dec 15, 2010 - You assume that Rin stays alive throught his entire life if Rin was no longer around his chances increase again. UBW Shirou does not care about the end result. "the boy heads off to the field of swords" at the end of UBW or the litteral translation of his chant "the bearer lies here alone forging iron on a hill of swords, thus my life needs no meaning". Means that at this point he is following Archer's path, he just knows exactly what it entails and does not regret it.
