Of course it's visually much better, because the internal resolution is way higher, but textures and other things are exactly the same, this is just upscaled and nothing else, and emulator do this way better as I said. I don't have played the MGS one, but i've played the DMC, the only thing changed is the life bar and screen texts, the original looks like crap, that's the only point I've noticed.

May 22, 2012 - that is not true, atleast not for all hd conversions. I got the Metal Gear Solid Hd collection and when i booted up the games i had an EYEGASM. The quality is much better then the normal ps2 editions. You prob fell that way because you never played these games alot to notice the diferences. I played MGS3 some 150+ hours (all my life) and when i got the HD edition i was like... WOW!

With every new generation of console i was like "WOW look at this,this is amazing".........then this generation (Xbox 360 and Playstation 3) i was like "Oh.....is this it?" It took a good couple of years before this generation of consoles amazed me,nothing realy evolved futher. The Playstation 1 and 2 totaly nailed it,so many great original games and great memorys.

May 13, 2012 - No offense to your brother but I agree most kids now a days are just graphics whores I'm sixteen but when I was younger we had older games that were in the N64 era and a little bit before that and when I was like ten or eleven I got a PS2 which I loved to death cause it had some of the best games ever made (which personally I feel they need a come back) now I look at games on the PS3/360 era and I see very few games that can actually live up to my expectations unlike the PS2 era.

May 8, 2012 - I'm tired of those so-called "HD" conversions. This is nothing more than a up-scaled conversion, all emulators can do that, and with better settings (anti-aliasings, speed ups, etc...). Okay it's a good way to play these titles for the newcomers, and those who don't have a good computer, but seriously if you already have the original, there's no interest to buy these ones, just play them with a emulator, it's far better (and for the DMC series, it runs like a charm).

I noticed 'many' gamers your age like to complain that modern games have bad graphics etc,very spoiled. My 15yr old brother and his friends played my SNES and thought it was terrible,if he played it in the 90's he would know how amazing it realy was

May 3, 2012 - Don't tell me I have no idea of the originals. My uncle let me play DMC when it first came out, but I as exprienced as him so it was hard. I also played DMC2 when it came out but it was a Blockbuster game, it glitched on the second mission so I didn't get far. I didn't play DMC3, but I watched the gameplay. I bought DMC4 as my first purchased DMC game but I never finished it. I loved the first three I thought it was cool. I have DMC HD, I am going to have just 1 to 4. So don't say I have no idea
